I’m playing Positively Present’s 30-Day Gratitude Photo Challenge.
Here is a link to some pictures others have posted on Instagram for this challenge.
Today’s word is touch. I’m drawing a blank on touch. Well not a total blank. I just don’t have an idea I really like. In an effort to come up with something more interesting, I looked it up on The Free Dictionary. This is what it said:

4. To lay hands on in violence: I never touched him!

11. To injure slightly: plants touched by frost.
12. To color slightly; tinge: a white petal touched with pink.

13. A characteristic way of doing things: recognized my friend’s touch in the choice of the card.
14. The state of being in contact or communication: kept in touch with several classmates; out of touch with current trends.
15. An official stamp indicating the quality of a metal product.

a. The act of approaching someone for a loan or handout.
b. A prospect for a loan or handout: a generous person, a soft touch for beggars.
17. Sports The area just outside the sidelines in soccer or just outside and including the sidelines in Rugby.
That helps some.
The point of this blog is to ask for your ideas. Here are the restriction I’ve placed on the picture. It has to work in black and white and it has to be possible with an iPhone. I need to take and post the picture today, November 7, 2013. I know, short notice. If I ask again I’ll try to do better time wise.
What are your suggestions for a picture that represents ‘touch’?

Hands represent touch and should be an easy photo to take. Unoriginal, but easy 🙂

Easy is good. I hadn’t thought of hands either. Thanks!

On walks with my aging/slightly blind labrador, if she’s too far ahead of me she’ll stop and wait until I’m close enough for her to *just* touch my leg with her nose. “Are you still there, Human-Lady-Who-Feeds-Me?” Does Einstein do anything similar?

And now I have Bruce as my daily earworm. Yay! 🙂

Cool.

How sweet she does that. Such love. That is touch in several ways. Cool! Einstein doesn’t do anything like that. Good idea though.

Seen the photos on the Instagram, I was thinking of a photo, where Coco is placing her paw on my hand. She does that a lot. 🙂

That sounds like a great idea. Maybe I could get a photo of Einstein hold hands with me. hmmmm?

i loved learning ASL (american sign language). one of my favorite signs is the one for ‘connect’. which is touch, to my mind/heart/soul. (the sign is made by making circle with thumb and forefinger of one hand, other hand is making same circle but ‘interlaced’ with first circle.)
but, thou are very good at ‘touch’ with us, through your photos, & words, sir cline.

That is beautiful. Great idea.
Thank you for the compliment. I often wonder if I’m posting things of interest.

Very cool and I was thinking of touch as the first time I touched my new born baby.
Nov 10, 2013 @ 08:17:53
That is a precious moment.

I immediately thought of hands…especially a child’s hand as they reach out with such gentleness to touch a pet or another person. I think of how much a child’s hand/touch is involved in their discovery of the world and in their learning.
HUGS!!!
