This is the discussion question I posted for my online class. I thought I’d share it here and see what you thought.

i’m old school. i have a hard time saying i can’t live without any tech. but i suppose a desktop, gmail and facebook would do me.

Sounds good to me. I would be same if I didn’t teach computer science and if I didn’t love photography so much. I could live without FB.

I know there is a vast selections of Tech gadgets that students use to make reports and assignments. I am not that savvy with them, but seen my son use it, I know they are far more advanced than me!! 🙂

I know what you mean. I’ve been lucky working with college students. They have kept me up to date on technology.
Mar 22, 2014 @ 16:00:28
Ha! I don’t even know what some of those things are!
😛
I can’t live without my computer, my smart-aleck phone, and e-mail…
That’s about it.
I guess I’m low-tech compared to most.
I’d love to see your students answers!
HUGS!!! 🙂

Maybe I can post their answers.

Very interesting list! I’d enjoy reading your students’ responses too.
For me: Gmail, Firefox and Chrome, my Dell laptop, my 200 GB Dropbox account, my ancient iPod touch, my little Canon PowerShot, Inscape, GIMP, and WordPress. I think that just about sums it up!
Mar 22, 2014 @ 20:25:50
Great list. I’ll have to look up Inscape. That’s a new one to me.
I guess I should have listed WordPress, Blogger, twitter, Instagram, and Picasso. I didn’t think of them.
I need to start using Dropbox. I mostly use Google drive for online storage.

interesting. I have my Toshiba laptop, and my digital Nikon D300 camera. my Samsung multitap cell phone. that’s about it. I feel i could live without them, but maybe it would really be difficult to do so, if I want to function with everyone else. hmm.
Mar 22, 2014 @ 21:44:41
I agree. I could live without all my tech too. I did before I had it. lol

speaking of tech: my old owl and terrapin site is not there, but because it’s using my email, I can’t use my email to start another site. “It looks like someone else is using this email.” agh. wish they’d let me use the old one, again, but it’s impossible to reach them with a question. I’m too simple to use two emails. ha. maybe I ought to get a bit more complex, though.
Mar 22, 2014 @ 22:53:40
That sounds complicated. Why do you think someone is using your email address?
Mar 22, 2014 @ 23:05:17
well, it’s me – it’s the email I use with this id I use to comment on here. it’s confusing. I’ve always had this id, but I can’t seem to start up a new site. : /
Mar 22, 2014 @ 23:16:03
That is confusing. Did you google it to see if you could find a solution?
