I received this ad in the mail today.
For $1.95 each we can feed everyone a cooked Thanksgiving meal and dispose of the trash? The meal will be in a warm space with tables and chairs.
So, what is the problem? Why are children hungry in America?

It is all a distribution problem. You or I could go to Golden Corral, and get more food than we need in a month, AT ONE SITTING. A family of four in Manchester, KY, or the south side of Chicago, has to drive 10-20 miles, just to get to a decent grocery store. Charities can go to Costco, and with the generosity of the middle class, buy in bulk. Thus, cheap Thanksgiving eats for those who would otherwise go to Taco Bell or McDonald’s for their holiday meal- or not eat at all.

I know you’re right. It just seems so wrong.

That is exactly true. Why is so many children left hungry if it takes only $1.95

Absolutely so true and where are these people on days that are not holidays helping to feed the hungry.
