My friend Cherokeewriter has been doing Positivity Week for several years. I try to participate each year and I try to practice positivity on a daily basis. I normally keep a journal where I write down the things I am grateful for each day. These almost invariably are positive. Being grateful helps and heals.

Day 4: Something Positive From 10 Years Ago
On this day, share something positive from 10 years ago.

I think I’ve blogged about this before. Ten years ago (+/-) my wife left me and the children. At the time it was horrible. It took me years to overcome depression, grief, and loneliness. All these years later I see that divorce as one of the best things that ever happened in my life. Nothing I am doing now would have been possible otherwise.
