This old barn is located in Natchez Trace State Park. I was free to explore and take pictures. I could have gone inside. I was tempted. I didn’t. I wasn’t concerned about it falling on me. I was concerned about snakes in the dark spots.

Wonderful shots and good idea on not going in. You might want to add a snake stick and knee boots to your collection of romp about items for your next rambling in the woods.

I have a stick. I’ve had the same one for 30 years. I even carved a face in it.

I should have known.. a face on it? That’s too cool. You’ll have to show me next time we play

This is a wonderful series, JR — I’m glad you didn’t get bitten by a snake!

I’m pretty noisy and good at watching for them plus, I try not to do stupid stuff. 😃.
I’m glad you enjoyed the barn.

Haha — I knew that bears and coyotes and the like don’t iike noisy people, but I didn’t know that about snakes!

I have found similar places in the hinterlands. I usually stay out, more out of respect for the place, but also with regard to the animals that are likely to live in them.

It varies with me. Some seem to say come. Some don’t.
