I’ve made the mental shift. RV Armor is putting on a new roof. It’s guaranteed to never leak. I’m making a $4,000 investment in this improvement. It’s clear, I’m staying in the RV for the foreseeable future. Bob is on the roof!
Next I’ll start remodeling the inside and the outside needs a paint job. I think that will be a job for Iron Horse.
Of course there are always the miscellaneous and expensive mechanical repairs.

Sounds like a necessary — and welcome! — improvement. 🙂

Yes, it was necessary. I had a leak. I could have patched it, but I decided it made more sense to start with a new roof since I plan to live in this.

It’ll be a wet winter, most likely, so the move was a smart one.

I don’t want to fight it one leak at a time. These guys will come back and fix it if it fails. It’s almost the same per foot to patch leaks as the occur as it is per foot to do the whole thing.

A dry roof is a major part of any home — I’m gladyou’re doing this now, before the winter hits!
Sep 04, 2015 @ 12:42:36
Me too.

A new roof is a great investment. May you stay dry forever!
Sep 04, 2015 @ 12:43:20
I’ve tried to over the years. lol I keep having to buy roofs though. hahahaha

I think you made a wise choice, expensive now but will pay off later.
Sep 05, 2015 @ 06:17:10
I hope you are right.
Sep 05, 2015 @ 10:37:41
Me too, but, you seem to be good at choices like that.
Sep 05, 2015 @ 13:18:26
I make my best guess. That’s all I’ve got.
Sep 05, 2015 @ 14:03:20
Good mind, years of experience, spirit wisdom… s’all you need
Sep 05, 2015 @ 14:24:19
hahahaha 😃🙏

Looks like we could be in for a nasty winter so it’s most likely a good investment. But the fun part is working on the interior 🙂
Sep 06, 2015 @ 07:46:29
Now that I’ve got a secure roof I’ll start inside. It’s more like, now that I’ve committed to stay in this bus, I’ll redo the interior o make it more like me.
Sep 10, 2015 @ 00:42:30
Sound like you have decided to settle and good idea.
Sep 10, 2015 @ 05:52:33
No, not settling, just getting a new roof on my rolling home.
Sep 10, 2015 @ 07:03:44
cool. 🙂
