Crystal Wilson posted a nice status about finding a new holiday normal after the loss of a loved one. 15 years after my divorce and there is no new normal. 6 years after my parents died, still no new normal. No new traditions. A lot of disconnection. I wander about.

Maybe that is your new tradition? Granted it would be the sort of tradition that’s a bit unruly and holds a sprinkle of magic in it… but, does that make it any less a tradition? To wander freely through life is not such a bad tradition?… (hugs)

I think that is what I’m coming realize.

Yes I understand this also and starting new traditions is not all that easy for me. I am thinking this may be the last year I do the whole dinner thing and we may just sit around next year snacking and watching foot ball.
Whatever you do have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Thank you. I hope you had an excellent day.
New traditions aren’t easy for me either. My life is so full of change.

Having done my share of wandering, and still not sure what normal even is, you have my support in this struggle.

Happy T-Day. Sometimes, tradition is over rated and we gotta just do what we enjoy!
Nov 26, 2015 @ 19:45:32
That seems to be what I am figuring out. My tradition is change and that concept is hard to embrace.

Wandering about can be a good new normal in itself. I think you may have chosen a path in which your disconnectedness is quite normal, and whatever you are doing at the moment is a sort of normal for you. I hope you are having a happy Thanksgiving today! Hugs!!!

I had a fun day. I hope you did too.
You’re right. Change is my normal and learning to work with that.
