The Happy Things Project continues. Once a week I post 3 things that bring happiness into my eternal Now.
1. My daily meditation
Walking meditation
Sitting meditation
Metta meditation
I practice several forms of meditation. Meditation has become a way of life. As I attempt to mindfully live I find daily activities can be meditation.
Of course I often lose focus and forget. I guess that’s why it’s a practice of meditation.
2. I recently had the opportunity to assist friends with a raised deck and play house arrangement. It was fun. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy building.
3. My favorite coffee is French Market coffee with chicory. I like the taste and it makes me happy to drink the coffee and think of New Orleans, my heart home city.

Building a deck requires meditation, aforehand, as one of the considerations is planning how many people one expects to safely be on the deck, at the same time.

I agree. Planning is important. I wasn’t in on that stage of construction 🔨I was just labor force.
