it’s grim in some areas. People think, “well, Americans are rich.” Not everyone, everywhere. Thanks for sharing. I live in a nice state. We have our problems, especially in some cities, but we’re a mild state. It makes me sad to see Arkansas though.

When I was in the military, several of the other soldiers hadn’t had 2 meals a day–and some days ate nothing at all. They were slow at first, but they perked up and were healthy, quick and happy. Of course, they were more thankful than the others.
I just got out of shape in BCT (basic–I know you know this, but I have to clarify). I’m also a pig and found ways to find food in my youth (won’t go into why), including getting jobs in restaurants, which isn’t possible in rural areas.. I struggled with eating disorders, which is stupid but yeah, I felt their pain in a ungrateful way. It’s a control thing with me.
