DISCARDED BOTTLE CAPS

While I’ve been enjoying my ice-o-lation in Paradise I have been into photographing bottle caps.

Except for the Shiner Bock, these caps were all on the ground in Paradise. I saw them and photographed them on my morning walks. The Shiner Bock cap was disposed of appropriately.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Some have been there a long long time. The aged ones are the ones that got me started on this.

You have some interesting old bottle caps here, but especially the Shiner Bock shot is an outstanding shot!

The Shiner Bock was totally staged. The others were not. When I hiked I kept seeing them.

Beer must be one of the few products that still makes use of those caps. Maybe some pop bottles still have them. I wash and save almost all the glass jars that I get with jelly and pickles and such in them. They can be reused almost forever (until I break them). Oh no, I have turned into my mother!

I reuse glass jars to some extent.

It was fun. I’ve snapped a few more but don’t now what I’ll do with them.

Puncture them with an awl, and make a necklace!

Not a bad idea.
