For me it was exciting to see the wind farms on the drive from LA to Joshua Tree.
We took a break in Joshua Tree. It was hot!

The wind farms have been expanded since I was last out in that area — they have always fascinated me — they and the newer solar farms — it’s a shame that they take so much space!

Sorry to hear that — the hottest day of the year is not the best time to visit the desert — and a 3-day weekend isn’t the best time to go to the beach in midst of a pandemic. The last week or so have been brutal here — I’m sorry — it really is a great place most of the time!
