Baggage check had not opened. We were too early.

It was hard to comprehend how empty LAX was the 4 times I was there on this trip.

A full plane from Denver to Birmingham. Well, 2/3 full. Southwest Airlines left the middle seats empty because Covid.

Unsurprisingly, the Birmingham AL airport was basically empty.

Those are some groovy crocs!
Is that the way the sun actually looked? Amazing!

  The Crocs are fun. I like wearing them.
  The sun was that color but the ring around the edge was so bright it blew out the highlights and showed a white ring.

That’s a neat shot of the sun! Today the sky is blue, with a very thin film of haze, and the air much nicer to breathe. I just read, though, that both Yosemite AND Sequoia NP’s are closed due to the smoke! And the fires are still burning — Bobcat still threatens Mt. Wilson, and El Dorado killed a firefighter. Life gets more difficult!
