“If you died today but was allowed to return to give your own eulogy what would you say?” – Mike Shaw

Here is my version of my eulogy.

JR Cline was born, lived a long life and died.  Like the JR Clines before him, he chose to incarnate on this plane knowing it was a round trip ticket.

He is survived by his sons, daughters, and grandchildren.

He was kind, generous and loving.  He will be missed by a few.  Some lives will be change at his passing. He hoped he changed lives for the better.

He wanted a few things which he pursued and mostly accomplished: mini-farm, raising parrots, a career he loved, living in a bus, having and raising children, traveling, photography, making and selling various crafts, he had 3 successful small businesses,  he loved  and was. loved, he helped others create better lives for themselves, he practiced mindfulness.  All around his life was successful and complete. Surveying the last 70 years he did ok.  Others may disagree.

He hoped his life would make an interesting story.

QOTD: “Clarissa Pinkola Estés suggests that we all need to periodically go cheerfully and enthusiastically out of our minds.

Make sure, she says, that at least one part of you always remains untamed, uncategorizable, and unsubjugated by routine. Be adamant in your determination to stay intimately connected to all that’s inexplicable and mysterious about your life. Don’t let it degenerate into careless disorder.”
