My dad (who had MS) argued (via the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam (sp) ) that we’re all living with terminus all the time. I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor of the bad kind. The other night, when she was in surgery for this thing, I couldn’t sleep at all. The next night, I did and woke with my dad in my ear saying, “get out there and enjoy your life. You don’t have a brain tumor.” I thought, “That’s awful.” Later I thought, “Whoa, dad’s right.” Life is a day-by-day thing. And I still think you’re brave.
