In February 2022 I was camping full time. I was very active, easily hiking and riding my bicycle for miles.
April 2023
Amazing how much has changed in a year. Today I can barely walk to the mailbox and back.
QOTD: “You have a million different feelings and fantasies about what it means to be you. How is that even possible?” ~ Rob Brezsny

Today I was reminded that I am allowed to live my life the way I am able to and the way that I want to.
With Terminus as a companion I find the horoscope below particularly helpful. I should spend some time with the myriad of feelings currently flooding my existence.
My favorite Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh, wrote the following: “In us, there is a river of feelings, in which every drop of water is a different feeling, and each feeling relies on all the others for its existence. To observe it, we just sit on the bank of the river and identify each feeling as it surfaces, flows by, and disappears.” I bring this meditation to your attention, Virgo, because I hope you will do it daily during the next two weeks. Now is an excellent time to cultivate an intense awareness of your feelings—to exult in their rich meanings, to value their spiritual power, to feel gratitude for educating and entertaining you. ~ Rob Brezsny
I visited Galley Smokes and picked up some CBD gummies. screens, some flower, a grinder and a pipe. The CBD helps me sleep. Catacosmosis came by with painting supplies and we spent the day arting around. It was much fun. My Masterpiece.
QOTD: “Every day and in every way, you’re getting better at playing the preposterously amusing master game we all dreamed up together before the Big Bang bloomed.” ~ Rob Brezsny

Sumo oranges are easy to peel and they are delicious.
QOTD: “You are free to regularly revise your philosophy of life to account for the ever-changing contours of your own destiny and the ever-evolving urgencies of our shared culture.
You are free—FREE!!!!—to care dearly about what images and stories and words you allow to flood into your sacred imagination. You are free to regard omnipresent advertising as a form of propagandistic brainwashing. You are free to recognize that other people’s freedoms are as important as yours.” ~ Rob Brezsny

Taken with the Kodak Mini Shot 3 Square Retro Instant Camera. This photo of my art box was taken by catacosmosis. Taken with a Lomo’ Instant Wide Camera in multi exposure mode.
This is my first attempt at multiple exposure photos. I can tell I need more practice.
I didn’t use an instant camera for the picture. I used an iPhone11promax. Taken with an iPhone 11 ProMax. Edited with the Instants app.
QOTD: “What exactly is it that makes so many people (white men especially) think that their job is to disparage, tear down, dismiss, look for flaws, complain, and generally utter “it’ll never work” (often of course without basic knowledge of the subject or having read the article)?
It’s so reflexive and so pervasive. I mean, obviously it’s a form of self-aggrandizement at its most basic — “you are wrong and I am both right and smarter” — but why when talking about the most urgent problems of our time are so many people committed to saying they’re insoluble, inevitable, or the solutions are going to fail?
As you know, it’s everywhere.” ~ Rebecca Solnit

I want enough time to be in love with everything. — Marina Keega
Eye see you Cancer Dharma. My life with Terminus has become increasingly blurry in shades of gray and black and white. Oh Oh Domino at the Van Scot Cancer Center
Domino belongs to one of the doctors at the Van Scott Cancer Center. The fish lives in a large aquarium located in the waiting room.

Four pines were removed at Castle Greystone. We record our activities on this group calendar in an effort to not over schedule. The pineapple flavor is my favorite. Soon we will be enjoying some delicious sweet tea.

I’m still painting a little. It’s enjoyable when I’m feeling good.
Today I visited the cardiologist to check my pacemaker battery and some arterial calcification that showed up on a bone scan He said I had another year on this battery. He also said he wasn’t going to do anything about my heart unless it was a problem for me. He made it clear he wanted me to concentrate on treating Terminus rather than having a heart thing and a cancer thing going on at the same time. I appreciate that. Waiting in the waiting area. A cute figurine in the treatment area window. I took this with a Kodak Print-o-matic. We arrived back at Castle Graystone and discovered this pile of pine trees. The tree guys had removed four pines that were too close to the building.
