1. Today the Blackstone 17” Griddle arrived. I am excited about this upgrade to the outside cooking trip. I need to do some minor assembly and then season the cooking surface before I can try it out.
2. I seasoned the griddle this afternoon.
It’s seasoned. Next step is cooking something.
3. A grand experience/experiment. I cooked banana bread in a slow cooker.
It came out good. I over cooked it a bit. I don’t bake so I went too long. It passed the 11 year old boy test. He ate several pieces. He suggested adding vanilla and cinnamon and using a different recipe that included butter.

1. Kudos to Chase Visa. December 1, I purchased $100 of fuel at Speedway. The next morning there was a email from Chase regarding a charge they denied. It was an additional $150 charge at Speedway. Thank you for saving me money Chase. They are sending out a new card.
2. The child on board brought holiday joy when he arrived. It’s been a long time. It goes with my theme during this time of Covid ice-o-lation, “think different thoughts”. I needed this booster shot of joy.
It’s been a few years since the last Christmas tree
Jesse and I went for a walk on a dirt (sand) trail in Gulf Shores. It was a cool walk in the woods at the beginning.
The first thing we found was an abandoned shopping cart.
It had been there a while. It was held down by vines. We walked further in and came across an abandoned sofa. I took several pictures but none were recorded. I’ll return and try again.
The weirdest of all was a creepy doll.

Much further down the trail, we found the head.
The body and head were not chewed up. The head appeared to have been cut off. See the smilie face? Weirdness.
The sun was setting.
The next day we returned on our bicycles to get a photo of the sofa.

I thought I would share a thankful list. I am grateful for so much.
1. I did not die a few years back when my heart decided to slow down and stop. Pacemakers, doctors, nurses, techs, hospitals, family and friends saved my life. I am living in the bonus years thanks to all this. I appreciate this time and I am trying to make the most of it.
LIVE LIKE YOU ARE DYING
2. Living the life I picked. Seven years ago I realized I did not want to die sitting in a recliner watching television. I sold, gave away, or trashed most my belongings, sold my house and moved into an RV. I am grateful for the life I have on the road. Location independence is nice.
My rolling home
3. I’m grateful for faith and confidence. The microwave/convection oven in WHQ is failing. I believe I can replace it. Faith and confidence in a higher power supply me with faith and confidence in myself. Living alone it’s nice knowing God (pick a label you like) has my back.
4. I am grateful for friends who keep tabs on me and come for visits. Sometimes they travel with me.
5. I am thankful for the quarter I found on the ground. Quarters are important for laundry day. I am thankful for tonight’s campfire and much other stuff.

1. Corporate pollution really annoys me. Trump’s rollback of many environmental protection rules annoys me. This particular coal ash problem in Alabama is ridiculous. There is no excuse. The same company has corrected the same problem in other states.
2. We visited a metaphysical shop today. Great fun. I got a new tarot deck, some candles, incense, a tree of life box, and some other items. The reader was excellent. She was right on target. The store was well stocked. The owner was knowledgeable and friendly.
