Personal Notes

1. I took another road trip. I took a shorter trip to Knoxville to visit Starr and practice air mattress surfing

2.

3. Alone on a front porch rocking in a black rocker and drinking coffee. The chilled morning air numbs my fingers and toes. The crescent moon stands guard overhead while city traffic, birds and barking dogs serve as Muzak.
City workers load limbs in a truck.

Thank you for stopping in for a visit. Your visits lift my spirits. Stay safe and well out there in the CCE. Peace and love.

The 100 Day Project

Days 50 – 56

Day 50
The view out my bedroom window
Day 51
One of my daily rituals is to draw and write in my junk journal.
Day 52
It’s been a while. Guinness has been difficult for me to obtain during the lockdown.
Day 53
I didn’t make sunrise but the water was warm and the air was cool. Mother played misty for me.
Day 54
With all the protesting and rioting going on in America it was nice to discover this heart during my walk this morning. A big “I love you” from Mother.
Day 55
Day 56

Thanks 😊 so much for stopping by and interacting. You bring joy to my heart. I love you.

DISCARDED BOTTLE CAPS

Rusty bottle top

While I’ve been enjoying my ice-o-lation in Paradise I have been into photographing bottle caps.

Green bottle top
Rusty bottle cap
The last one in this series. I drank this Shiner Bock and posed the cap on an old wooden picnic table.

Except for the Shiner Bock, these caps were all on the ground in Paradise. I saw them and photographed them on my morning walks. The Shiner Bock cap was disposed of appropriately.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Card for this New World

“You have an opportunity to participate with others now to make your contribution to creating something greater and more beautiful than each of you could manage alone. Your participation will not only nourish you, but will also contribute something precious to the whole.”

The world has gone into a cocoon. We have a chance to emerge better, kinder, more loving. This is an opportunity to change things.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I really appreciate the likes and comments. Much love. Stay well. ❤️

Scene 1:
I love serendipity.   A random song from a hymnal where I journal.

Hymn: Weary of All Trumpeting.

Scene 2:

I am using an old hymnal for my junk/art/spiritual journey/whatever journal. That journal is the source for the song in Scene 1 and the QOTD:

Our Earth We Now Lament to See

Our earth we now lament to see
With floods of wickedness overflowed,
With violence, wrong, and cruelty,
One wide-extended field of blood,
Where men like fiends each other tear,
In all the hellish rage of war.

As listed on Abaddon’s side,
They mangle their own flesh, and slay:
Tophet is moved, and opens wide
Its mouth for its enormous prey;
And myriads sink beneath the grave,
And plunge into the flaming wave.

O might the universal Friend
This havoc of His creatures see!
Bid our unnatural discord end;
Declare us reconciled in Thee!
Write kindness on our inward parts,
And chase the murderer from our hearts!

Who now against each other rise,
The nations of the earth constrain
To follow after peace, and prize
The blessings of Thy righteous reign,
The joys of unity to prove,
The paradise of perfect love!

~ Charles Wesley

2019 was the Osho Tarot year. 2020 is year of the soul cards.

This is my first draw in February. Soul cards

To be honest, Soul Cards might not work out. Stay tuned. Hahahahaha

Llama

This large llama stood right in front of our Jeep. Other llamas surrounded us. They all wanted food. In order to move on, I had to ease up. Stop. Ease up. Stop. Ease up. Stop. After about 10 minutes of this, the llama allowed us to pass.

Elliot and I had an awesome time there.

Scene 1:

Winter takes me down a darker path. I bought a ticket for the long way round. I am getting closer to the end. It’s an awesome ride. I like to think you’ll miss me when I’m gone.

When I’m gone….

Scene 2:

I went to my first Christmas boat parade. Best one I’ve ever seen. Definitely worth trying again.

A cheery musical interlude for all of you who are mindfully living.

Largemouth Bass Loop

Log

What started out as a short walk by the lake turned into a two mile hike over uneven terrain. The Largemouth Bass Loop was well marked at the beginning but became iffy as I continued. Red trail markers painted on a tree. Cedar bench along Largemouth Bass Loop.

Nice benches were placed along the trail.

Abandoned plastic tackle box.

Abandoned plastic tackle box.

There were several old things along the trail. The bottom half of a large turtle shell.

Remains of a large turtle.
Backbone of some creature nailed to a tree

Not sure what left this behind.

Concrete fixtures in the woods.

or these. There were many things like this scattered about.

Along with the old stuff there was new stuff. Bridge over swampy groundNew deck

I love the support posts. Something to keep in mind.

Bridge

There is a lot of work being done on this trail.

What did I learn?

I need a day pack.
I need to carry more water.
I need to take snacks.
I should have been wearing something other than sandals.

What I did right.

I carried a little water.
I took my big camera.
I went for the hike, the adventure.
I nourished my wonder and curiosity.
