1. The Mad Scramble

I shot the video with an iPhone and the 8 mm app. The editing was done using the Splice app. Nova Rain added the voiceover.

2. All this ice-0-lation, self reflection and meditation is bearing fruit. I flipped out some in the last few days. Melancholy! Confusion! At loose ends. Adrift. Then boom. With the help of a friend I peeled off a huge, tough, nasty layer from my onion. “The unbearable lightness of being”. Growth is difficult. But I am better now. Closer to nobody.

3. I’ve been trying to get my oil and filters changed since January 2020. I’ve been turned away once. SpeedCo didn’t have the oil filter. That is just not true. There was some other reason. Beats me. I may have found a good local place. Maybe during July WHQ will be well lubricated once again.

Thanks 😊 so much for coming by and interacting. You brighten my day and bring joy to my heart. Stay safe and well out there in the CCE. I love you.

Days 43 – 49

I used the Google Arts and Culture app to morph this photo into Keith Haring’s style.

Day 43

I am weary of Covid’s trash. I am weary of Covid in general. However, I am adapting to my new Covid Common Era life and it’s not so bad.

Day 44

Here I am in Paradise during the CCE and this holly plant thinks it is fall. Or maybe it is in harmony with the newly sick since Alabama has opened up again.

Day 45

The view out my bedroom window.

Day 46

I’m not sure what this plant is doing. Every time I bury its roots it climbs back out.

Day 47
Day 48
The neighbors
Day 49
The big heron wasn’t around. This was his fill-in.

Mark Twain: “I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened.”

Thanks 😊 so much for stopping by and interacting. You bring joy to my heart. I love you.

Covid Day 10

Osho Zen Tarot 3 of Clouds

My take away? In the time of Covid-19 the isolation can leave us feeling helpless, cold, and alone. It is ok to scream, beat your pillow or drum, and cry. I beat my drum every day. The rainbow-tears on the face are tears of hope, tears of healing, tears of growth. Feel the fear and the pain. Let it pass thru you. Be gentle with yourself and others. This is passing as all things are.

Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate you. Stay well. Check out my other exploits on Vero, Twitter, and Instagram. #maya #bekind #revolution #resist

Scene 1:

I can hardly believe I am in Central Alabama in November.  Even weirder, I am supposed to be here at least through the first week of December and possibly December 31. I’m insane for agreeing to those commitments. I do not know if I can deal with this cold.  I’m not sure I’ll make it.

Scene 2:

President Trump helped me like this quote.

“But race is the child of racism, not the father. And the process of naming “the people” has never been a matter of genealogy and physiognomy so much as one of hierarchy. Difference in hue and hair is old. But the belief in the preeminence of hue and hair, the notion that these factors can correctly organize a society and that they signify deeper attributes, which are indelible—this is the new idea at the heart of these new people who have been brought up hopelessly, tragically, deceitfully, to believe that they are white.” ~ Ta-Nehisi Coates

Scene 3:

One of my FB posts linked to Landover Baptist has been denounce by a Man of God.

“There’s nothing Christian about this. As a Pastor I denounce this. It is not of God!”

Day 14

I am grateful the first freezing 🥶 weather was endured without any freeze damage. Jesse and I weathered it well other than getting cabin fever. Being cooped up in a 250 sq ft space with a 10 year old has its challenges.

Scene 2:

Red Ball

Red ball in the driveway

Red Ball craved adventure. On the first day it snuck out into driveway. Red ball by a tree

By the next morning Red Ball had made it into the woods by a large creek.

On the third day Red Ball was no where to be found. I like to think Red Ball was not recovered. I’d like to believe Red Ball rolled into the creek to experience more.

Scene 3:

Today is a travel day.Osho Zen Tarot Possibilities Card

Possibilities is a nice card for the continuation of my adventures.

“The eagle has an overview of all the possibilities contained in the landscape below, as he flies freely, naturally and effortlessly through the sky. He is really in his domain, very grand and self-contained.

This card indicates that you are at a point where a world of possibilities is open to you. Because you have grown more loving towards yourself, more self-contained, you can work easily with others. Because you are relaxed and at ease, you can recognize possibilities as they present themselves, sometimes even before others can see them. Because you are in tune with your own nature, you understand that existence is providing you with exactly what you need. Enjoy the flight! And celebrate all the varied wonders of the landscape spread before you.

Mind can accept any boundary anywhere. But the reality is that, by its very nature, existence cannot have any boundary, because what will be beyond the boundary?–again another sky.

That’s why I am saying skies upon skies are available for your flight. Don’t be content easily. Those who remain content easily remain small: small are their joys, small are their ecstasies, small are their silences, small is their being. But there is no need! This smallness is your own imposition upon your freedom, upon your unlimited possibilities, upon your unlimited potential.”

My rig

Parked at R Haven RV Park in Rising Fawn GA

Scene 1:

This was going to be the third travel day in a row. I elected to forego the stop at Mountain Lakes. It was raining too much.

I’m remaining in Rising Fawn GA a few more days.

Scene 2:

Grey skies and rain chill the air and my soul.

Scene 3:

Since I inadvertently lost all my notes I’ve started using other tools for note keeping. One of these is Google Docs. I also may begin a new series of post here as a result.
