QOTD: “As a bee seeks nectar from all kind of flowers, seek teachings everywhere. Like a deer that finds a quiet place to graze, seek seclusion to digest all that you have gathered. Like a madman beyond all limits, go wherever you please and live like a lion completely free of all fear. — Ancient Tibetan text

I went out in the world today to take care of some things. One of those was a stop at a grocery store. I listened while a customer explained all about rationing to the store manager. The entire time the store manager kept explaining there was no shortage and that store is fully stocked every morning. The obese, rationing spouting, customer had a buggy filled with meat. There was plenty of meat to purchase still on display. I got my little bit of stuff and went to get gas.
The price was right for me at $1.65 a gallon. The tank was below ¼. I walked inside to prepay and the waiting customers all adjusted so the 6’ distance was maintained while we awaited the clerk. While I was pumping, a younger man passed nearby and sneezed. He immediately started apologizing and explains about his allergies. It is full blown pollen season spring here. I felt sorry for him an wonder what had happened earlier to make him so sensitive. He sneezed. I didn’t even look up until he started apologizing.
Let me wrap this all up. I went outside and touched things others had touched. I spoke with people. I breathed air. I sanitized a lot. I washed my hands often. I tried to remain 6’ away. In 14 days I could be fighting for my life. Or not. What an adventure.
Be chill. Be safe. Don’t Panic! Wear your mask.
Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate all of you.
Flexibility is important. As flexible as my life is, it still has limits. What I am realizing is that those limits are mostly self imposed. I guess I have once more bumped into one of my edges and it’s chafing. I may need to back up, lower my head, and charge on through.
“If you want to be more flexible and adaptable, practice challenging your comfort zones.”
~ Akiroq Brost
Scene 2:
Continuing the flexibility theme I have to share these words from Pema Chödrön.
“To be fully alive, fully human, and completely awake is to be continually thrown out of the nest. To live fully is to be always in no-man’s-land, to experience each moment as completely new and fresh. To live is to be willing to die over and over again.”
I think I’m in the midst of being tossed out of the nest big time. See Scene 1.
Scene 3:
WOW! I spent the night at Hill House. Like all of life it was a mix of yin and yang.
I had a nice bath, hung out with my wifey and her krew. That was kool. We visited a stable. She rode her horse. I wander about. I ate some good food I didn’t cook! Always a win. The next morning I saw a small wound on a dog stitched up. Cost yet to be known and paid. I’ll update if I remember. The small snippy dog was tagged by a German Shepherd. The shepherd almost snipped off some tiny balls.
There was a couple of hours of kid drama when I left. smh
All is well now. We arrived at WHQ and unloaded the kid gear. Then down the road to the Hudd Market for supplies. I bought the kid chicken tenders and fries take out at Paradise Grill. The Grill is always a friendly, fun and tasty stop.

Before I could get too involved with the hydraulic leveling system I enjoyed a little time getting “saved” by my bass fishing neighbors.
Scene 2:
These are the steps for adding hydraulic fluid to the reservoir. I had to clean the reservoir to read the directions.
Scene 3:
I snagged a cardboard box to lay on while I worked. I did not want to lay in rocks and dirt and weeds. I serviced the jacks themselves too. These are what I used to clean and lubricate the four jacks. I also used a grease gun to grease the jacks.
All done. I added 3/4 of a quart of hydraulic fluid. The popping has stopped. I won’t know about the alarm until I move to Hartselle AL.Follow my exploits on Twitter and Instagram
I complain about Alabama. It is a place I enjoy being from. There are things I like about Alabama: the many beautiful lakes, the lovely country side, white sandy beaches, quaint little towns, and it’s affordable for the most part. I could list others items. But the one I really like today is that I can order my vehicle registration online and have it mailed to where I am. That is really convenient for a mobile lifestyle. Not all Alabama counties provide this service, but some do.

I like Bock beer. Years ago I looked forward to PBR Bock when it came out once a year. I have not had a good Bock beer in several years. This is a “new to me” good one. #mylife #nola #beer #bockbeer #bock_beer #new_orleans #neworleans #abita #abita_brewing #nola_project #iphone7_plus

Things that make me go hmmm
I was talking with a local woman at Bayou Sauvage and she told me it was a dangerous place to come alone. She was there with another person and two large bull dogs. She asked me where else I liked to visit and immediately told me it wasn’t the safest place to walk and that I should probably go somewhere else.
