My Covid-19 Diary Day 2

Osho Tarot Abundace King of Rainbows

This Dionysian character is the very picture of a whole man, a “Zorba the Buddha” who can drink wine, dance on the beach and sing in the rain, and at the same time enjoy the depths of understanding and wisdom that belong to the sage. In one hand he holds a lotus, showing that he respects and contains within himself the grace of the feminine. His exposed chest (an open heart) and relaxed belly show that he is at home with his masculinity as well, utterly self-contained.

The four elements of earth, fire, water and sky all conjunct at the King of Rainbows who sits atop the book of the wisdom of life. If you are a woman, the King of Rainbows brings the support of your own male energies into your life, a union with the soul mate within. For a man, this card represents a time of breaking through the conventional male stereotypes and allowing the fullness of the whole human being to shine forth.

In the East people have condemned the body, condemned matter, called matter “illusory,” maya–it does not really exist, it only appears to exist; it is made of the same stuff as dreams are made of. They denied the world, and that is the reason for the East remaining poor, sick, in starvation.

Half of humanity has been accepting the inner world but denying the outer world. The other half of humanity has been accepting the material world and denying the inner world. Both are half, and no man who is half can be contented.

You have to be whole: rich in the body, rich in science; rich in meditation, rich in consciousness. Only a whole person is a holy person, according to me. I want Zorba and Buddha to meet together. Zorba alone is hollow. His dance has not an eternal significance, it is momentary pleasure. Soon he will be tired of it.

Unless you have inexhaustible sources, available to you from the cosmos itself…unless you become existential, you cannot become whole. This is my contribution to humanity: the whole person.

Osho Communism and Zen Fire, Zen Wind, Chapter 2

My take away: I am mindlessly shuffling this deck. My mind was evaluating my supplies. How many weeks of food were on hand? How can I stretch things? Suddenly, this card popped out. OK, message received. “…inexhaustible sources, available to you from the cosmos itself….” Thank you!

Scene 1:

Flexibility is important. As flexible as my life is, it still has limits. What I am realizing is that those limits are mostly self imposed. I guess I have once more bumped into one of my edges and it’s chafing. I may need to back up, lower my head, and charge on through.

“If you want to be more flexible and adaptable, practice challenging your comfort zones.”

~ Akiroq Brost

Scene 2:

Continuing the flexibility theme I have to share these words from Pema Chödrön.

“To be fully alive, fully human, and completely awake is to be continually thrown out of the nest. To live fully is to be always in no-man’s-land, to experience each moment as completely new and fresh. To live is to be willing to die over and over again.”

I think I’m in the midst of being tossed out of the nest big time. See Scene 1.

Scene 3:

WOW! I spent the night at Hill House. Like all of life it was a mix of yin and yang.

I had a nice bath, hung out with my wifey and her krew. That was kool. We visited a stable. She rode her horse. I wander about. I ate some good food I didn’t cook! Always a win. The next morning I saw a small wound on a dog stitched up. Cost yet to be known and paid. I’ll update if I remember. The small snippy dog was tagged by a German Shepherd. The shepherd almost snipped off some tiny balls.

There was a couple of hours of kid drama when I left. smh

All is well now. We arrived at WHQ and unloaded the kid gear. Then down the road to the Hudd Market for supplies. I bought the kid chicken tenders and fries take out at Paradise Grill. The Grill is always a friendly, fun and tasty stop.

I’m chillin’ with a cocktail and a game of Let’s Go Fishin’.

Card for Today

Projections Tarot card

“The man and woman in this card are facing each other, yet they are not able to see each other clearly. Each is projecting an image they have constructed in their minds, covering the real face of the person they are looking at. All of us can get caught up in projecting movies of our own making onto the situations and people surrounding us. It happens when we are not fully aware of our own expectations, desires and judgments; instead of taking responsibility for them and owning them, we try to attribute them to others. A projection can be devilish or divine, disturbing or comforting, but it is a projection nonetheless–a cloud that prevents us from seeing reality as it is. The only way out is to recognize the game. When you find a judgment arising about another, turn it around: Does what you see in others really belong to you? Is your vision clear, or clouded by what you want to see?

In a cinema hall, you look at the screen, you never look at the back–the projector is at the back. The film is not there really on the screen; it is just a projection of shadow and light. The film exists just at the back, but you never look at that. And the projector is there. Your mind is at the back of the whole thing, and the mind is the projector. But you always look at the other, because the other is the screen. When you are in love the person seems beautiful, no comparison. When you hate, the same person seems the ugliest, and you never become aware of how the same person can be the ugliest and the same person can be the most beautiful…. So the only way to reach to truth is to learn how to be immediate in your vision, how to drop the help of the mind. This agency of the mind is the problem, because mind can create only dreams…. Through your excitement the dream starts looking like reality. If you are too excited then you are intoxicated, then you are not in your senses. Then whatsoever you see is just your projection. And there are as many worlds as there are minds, because every mind lives in his own world.” – OSHO Zen Tarot

My take away:

Everything we perceive around us is an idea in our mind. I’m not saying that things aren’t “real”. My mind creates what I see from the light waves that are turned into nerve impulses. What I perceive may actually be vibrating out there. But the image is a creation in my brain. All people are different. All brains are different. The images are different. Osho says, we project a lot onto those light waves.

Samsara and Nirvana

Non duality

When life is good, embrace it, experience it fully.

Death in Paradise

When life is bad, embrace it, experience it fully.

In quantum physics you will understand that nothing exists. So in reality there is no difference between samsara and nirvana, they are one.Wooden Nickel

Inverter/Charger Issues

Since December 24th my Freedom 458 has been malfunctioning.

Today RV tech Jack stopped by and told me the Freedom 458 was broken and needed to be replaced. I ordered a new one from Xantrex for $1,070 and change. It should be here Thursday.

A Happier Camper

While I’ve been in New Orleans I arranged for Happy Campers to create some new seat covers. The old ones were original with the RV, 1999. You can imagine. Well, it’s better not to imagine how bad they were.

These new ones are awesome. She even got the stripes lined up. I highly recommend this business. I am happier camper now.

Or
Not that memes are authoritative
Or
Negative self talk

“You’re bad”
“You can’t write”
“You’ll never be good enough”
“You’ll burn I hell”
“No one will ever be in love with you”
“You’re broken”
“You can’t keep a beat”

I’ve seen memes that said that the negative self talk in my head was from my parents or other authority figures from childhood. I’ve peeled a lot of that away. I’ve silenced that negative voice mostly. It’s a work in progress. I know I’m awesome. I know I’m a child of the king, and a co-heir to the kingdom. John 10:34

Chapter 8

The Wheel of Fortune

A cycle of destiny in progress. The main lesson of this card is that things are always changing, so never let yourself get too comfortable. Complacency and remaining stationary stagnates growth.

When you are willing to go with the flow of life and can accept both the ups and downs as part of the whole circle; you will find a sense of power and be open to more opportunities.

Recognizing the cyclical nature of life gives you the faith to endure challenges and the hope/wisdom to seek positive new directions.

In life we will all have various up/down cycles; in the end all things serve a purpose. Take all of your experiences and grow from them. If you are in a “down” cycle just now, hang tight – things will come around again. If you are in an “up” cycle, bless that feeling but don’t become too attached. Always look for new ways to grow and shift.

Source: Spiritual Guidance Tarot

Everyone’s life is always changing. Some changes stand out.  Other changes are subtle.  My life is changing a lot these days.   Probably a good or bad or neutral thing.  hehehe
I’ve been stationary a long time.  That may be ending or not.  It’s too soon to know.  One thing for sure, I don’t want to stagnat here in the cold grayness.

Generally, I’m pretty good with the flow of life and with its ups and downs and sidewaysness.  I think that may come with practice.  Maybe not. It’s difficult to tell.

Embrace the change.
