Air plants grow in the air, where they live and thrive without soil. They are part of the Bromeliad family. They absorb moisture and nutrients through their leaves.

QOTD: “Blissipline is the commitment to experiencing a little or a lot of bliss every day; the practice of expanding one’s capacity for bliss and being open to receive it in any moment.” A “blissiplinarian” is “someone who enforces pleasure and invites opportunities for more pleasure,” while a “blissciple” is a person who aspires to master the art of blissipline.” ~ Rana Satori Stewart

1. I always smile when I hear this song.

2. It’s part of my daily ritual to pull a card from the Osho Zen Tarot. Recently I pulled this card.

It’s one of my favorites, reminding me that life is not as serious as I often make it out to be.

3. Another of the air plants is about to bloom. I find these plants fascinating

QOTD: “The knowledge I’m interested in is not something you buy and then have and can be comfortable with. The knowledge I’m interested in keeps opening wider and wider, making me smaller and more amazed, until I see I cannot have it all — and then delight in that as a freedom.”—Heather McHugh

Memories Stuck Between the Pages of My Mind

Each year around Easter I begin to crave Peeps. I know there are many variations of this Easter classic but plain yellow suits me. They are my favorite childhood memory of Easter. I usually wait for the after the Resurrection Celebration candy sales and pick up a pack of 5 for fifty cents. I may eat them all or I may eat one.

“Candy historians speculate that the Peeps’ link to Easter has more to do with the pagan origins of the holiday than its Christian roots. Eggs, and consequently chicks, are a long-standing symbol of fertility and rebirth, an appropriate image for a holiday that celebrates the coming of spring. Originally part of a pagan fertility ritual symbolizing new life, the egg became incorporated into Easter as pagan rites were absorbed into Christianity with the Christianization of Central Europe.“ ~ Slate

QOTD: “You may not know how to eliminate the lack, or fill the void, or fix the issue, but you have the power, at any moment to ALIGN WITH WHAT GIVES YOU LIFE. You can change your story in an instant, by simply shifting the focus away from what you fear or lack or cannot solve this moment to what you want and have and can enjoy right now. “ ~ Andrea Balt

My neighbor brought over breakfast: turkey bacon, orange slices and an omelet. It was a cheese, onion, mushroom and canned peas omelet. The peas were a real surprise to me

QOTD: “At every moment, your mind is free—free to reject any thoughts, impulses, and feelings that are barreling into it from who-knows-where. Free to leap to some fresh perspective, inspiring thought, or deep feeling.” ~ Rob Brezsny

Previously I posted some pictures of Big Escambia Creek flooding. Here is a comparison.

Top: flooded
Bottom: Water receded
It was a beautiful day. This tiny blooms were the icing on the cake. I think they are huckleberry blossoms.
I discovered this growing down by the water.
This is my front yard a little before sunset.

Road Trip Day 16

The last day of 2021. It’s rainy. Maybe I’ll make it back to WHQ today.

I thought this was an intriguing marketing idea.
Tasty fruit
This one me was looking at me.
What a surprise at WHQ. One of the air plants bloomed. Isn’t it lovely. I’m looking forward to the pups.

I’m back at WHQ. Things look and function as they should. It’s good to be back. It was good to be away. Sitting outside in shorts enjoying a cup of French Market Chicory coffee.

QOTD: “What worn-out shticks are blinding us to the blessings that life is conspiring to give us?

Which of our theories may have been useful and even brilliant in the past but are now keeping us from becoming aware of the ever-fresh creation that unfolds before us?

It’s not enough to terminate our stale mental habits just once.  We have to ask ourselves rude questions and kick our own asses again and again.

We have to immerse ourselves regularly in the waters of chaos.

Our relationship with life has to be a never-ending improvisation.” – Rob Brezsny
